AISECT Strengthens Global Outreach with Strategic MoUs in Tanzania, Unlocking New Avenues for Future-Ready Skills
India, 24th September,2025: In a significant step towards expanding its global footprint, AISECT has formalised two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in Tanzania, East Africa. The partnerships aim to foster international academic collaboration and deliver globally relevant, industry-ready skill programs for African youth.
A high-level AISECT delegation led by Mr. Mukesh Sharma, Vice President, International Division, and Mr. Abhishek Gupta, General Manager, AISECT, engaged with university leaders, government representatives, and industry stakeholders in Tanzania to explore opportunities that will connect learners to future-ready skills and global job markets.
Key Agreements Signed:
- Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU): Introduction of digital and future skills courses tailored to Africa’s evolving employment landscape, along with faculty recruitment support in specialised fields such as Law and Mass Communication.
- Kampala International University in Tanzania (KIUT): A comprehensive academic collaboration framework including faculty and student exchange, curriculum co-development, and joint delivery of certification programs in healthcare, business management, and entrepreneurship.
Discussions were also initiated with the University of Dar es Salaam (UNDS) to pilot vocational training and digital literacy programs. In addition, AISECT explored collaborations with HR agencies and education partners to strengthen outreach, job placement, and industry linkages in East Africa.
Speaking about this, Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Executive Vice President, AISECT, said:“Our collaborations in Tanzania are more than academic agreements, they are strategic pathways to link African youth with the skills, certifications, and industry exposure they need to thrive in the global economy. This has opened concrete avenues for joint training programs, faculty development, and entrepreneurship incubation that will have lasting socio-economic impact.”
Since its inception in 1985, AISECT has been dedicated to bridging the skills gap by delivering affordable, quality education and livelihood opportunities. With a presence in 40,000+ centers, impacting over 60 lakh individuals, and partnerships with 12 Central Ministries, 21+ State Skill Development Missions, and 29 Sector Skill Councils, AISECT continues to expand its impact globally.
