Hyderabad, Dec 6: Balakista Reddy , Chairman Higher Education Government Of Telangana today said that there’s no dearth of opportunities for jobs from Marine (deep sea) to outer space .However there was still a need to update curriculum to industry requirements.

Speaking as a Chief guest at the Global Training and Placement Officers(TPO) Association &HR Leadership Excellence Summit 2025 organized by Telangana Training & Placement Officers Association in collaboration with AllIndia TPO association New Delhi, held at T Hub on Friday Balakista Reddy said that there is no dearth of placement opportunities however it was imperative for education curriculum to be in sync with the industry needs and therefore challenge the syllabus he advised.
He said that India is in transition for transformation . From developing country to Developed country , from importer to exporter India is marching towards Viksith Bharath and added that 2047 will be an important land mark year. However next 22 years will be challenging and the young of India will lead the nation .
Stating that India is young country with 65 percent of its population below the age of 25 years . Today each country is inter dependent . New and Emerging Technologies are influencing the human activity and in this context India will have to play an important role . India’s strength lies in its human capital and the globe is looking at it for help. With 600 million youth india has to provide help globally and therefore said educationist and placement officers have an important role
Stating that the Telangana Higher Education Council too was trying to provide Education at the doorstep he said there were many challenges in education, training, imparting knowledge which are all challenges but have to be overcome if India has to pkay an important role in Commity of nations.
Speaking about reforms in education he said that there is a need to give updatedCurriculum.He reiterated there was no dearth of opportunities fron deep sea to outer space . Prime Minister Narendar Modi had released a Maritime India Vision document in 2023 where an investment of INR 3 lakh crores is being made and 20 lakh job opportunities have been outlined. Likewise in aviation or space which requires 100’s of airports and aircrafts .Even if 1 percent of population tilts imagine the opportunities he said andexpressedapprehensions whether there were enough colleges imparting Aviation knowledge.India needs professionals and a vision to accomplish this and called upon the educationist and Placement Officers to equip themselves accordingly.
Later speaking to media on a question about not many industries going to campuses as in the past he said for this Government is signing MOUs with leading industries Government is also providing free English syllabus to 9vercome language barriers specially for rural youth . For this they can log on at tgche.ac.in.
Prof Syed Ainul Hasan Vice Chancellor Maulana Azad National Urdu University in his address as Guest 9f honour speaking about technology said that there has to be a balance between tradition and modernity . Hence there is a sense of responsibility on the shoulders of educationist as well as youth.
He also spoke of being inclusive and said National Education Policy talks of the same.

Dr Jayram Vice President TTPOA welcoming expressed concern that the placement officer was retiring at the same level he starts his career .For this he urged the Government to recognise the Training and Placement Cell as a Department and not as a Cell .For the purpose a representation is being made to the government he added.
