G-SHOCK introduces a new collaboration with the Charles Darwin Foundation, inspired by the unique wildlife of the Galápagos Islands. This third installment in the Charles Darwin Foundation collaboration series features two models that celebrate the Galápagos marine iguana and the Galápagos penguin, showcasing the charm of these animals with vivid colors and unique designs.
The base model is the GA-B2100, which incorporates Tough Solar technology and biomass plastic to reflect a commitment to environmental sustainability and to pay homage to the rich natural beauty of the Galápagos. The GA-B2100CD-1A4 model captures the two-tone red and black of the Galápagos marine iguana, the world’s only iguana known to dive into the sea.
The GA-B2100CD-1A7 model is inspired by the black and white of the Galápagos penguin, the only penguin species found in tropical waters near the equator. Each model features a stylized motif of the marine iguana or penguin on inset dial hand at 9 o’clock and on the band loop. The back cover of these models is engraved with the Charles Darwin Foundation logo, and the band is printed with the Spanish phrase “Apoyo la conservación de Galápagos,” which translates to “I support the conservation of the Galápagos.” These models come in special packaging that does not use resin materials, further emphasizing the environmental focus of this collection.
